Download & Installation Instructions
To install you'll need to download and register 2 Sage Payroll files, then install the Importer package.
The installation should take no more than 15 minutes...
Backup Payroll
First, backup your Payroll data and ideally create a System Restore Point in Windows.
Install the Sage Payroll SDO files
Then, download and extract the 2 Sage Payroll SDO files (PaySDO161.dll & PaySDOUI161.dll).
For Sage Payroll 2011 (tax Year 2010 - 2011) download these 2 files instead (PaySDO170.dll & PaySDOUI170.dll)
If you already have any current 3rd party payroll product you can skip this step and go straight to the program download
These 2 files must be copied to the Sage Payroll program folder.
Typically this will be C:\Program Files\Sage Payroll.
You must Register the PaySDO161.dll or PaySDO170.dll file by using the Regsvr32 command.
Click Start -> Run and then type the following in the text box substituting your Program Folder Name and version.
Regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Sage Payroll\PaySDO161.dll" or Regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Sage Payroll\PaySDO170.dll" as appropriate.
In the example above Sage Payroll is installed in Program Files \ Sage Payroll 2009
You should receive a message saying the dll was successfully registered.
Download and Install the Program
For Sage Payroll version 2010 Tax Year 2010 -> 2011
Next, download and install the Payroll Timesheet Importer Version 2 for Tax Year 2010 setup package. We recommend that you download to a folder with a short name e.g. C:\Download otherwise the installation may fail.
For Sage Payroll version 2011 Tax Year 2010 -> 2011
Next, download and install the Payroll Timesheet Importer Version 2 for Sage version 2011 for Tax Year 2010 setup package. We recommend that you download to a folder with a short name e.g. C:\Download otherwise the installation may fail.
For Sage Payroll 2011 Tax Year 2011 -> 2012
First install the 2011 Tax Year Package above. if you haven't already done so. You will then to install 2 dll files for the 2011 -> 2012 Tax year and a new program file (timport.exe) by following the instructions below
For Sage Payroll 2011 (Tax Year 2011 - 2012) download these 2 files (PaySDO171.dll & PaySDOUI171.dll) and a new timport.exe program file.
The unzipped Timport.exe must be used to replace the existing Timport.exe in the Timesheet Importer Program Folder. (We suggest you rename the existing Timport.exe file first)
The 2 dll files file must be unzipped and copied to the Sage Payroll program folder.
Typically this will be C:\Program Files\Sage Payroll.
You must Register the PaySDO171.dll file by using the Regsvr32 command.
Click Start -> Run and then type the following in the text box substituting your Program Folder Name and version.
Regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Sage Payroll\PaySDO171.dll" as appropriate.
The 2011 - 2012 update is now complete.
Installation
Extract the downloaded file to this folder and then run the Setup.exe file to install the application.
If you are installing on Vista you must install the program to a folder other than C:\Program Files and you must run the setup using the "Run as Administrator Option". The program should also be run using the "Run as Administrator" option.
